Ringo Starr appeared in the film, co-starring alongside Peter Sellers. The party took place at the London nightclub Les Ambassadeurs.

Other guests included John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and actors Richard Harris, Sean Connery, Stanley Baker, George Peppard, Roger Moore and Christopher Lee.

The party was filmed by the producers of The Magic Christian. Footage from the occasion later appeared in a BBC documentary
titled Will The Real Mr Sellers…, which was narrated by Spike Milligan and broadcast in December 1969.
