Notes: On this day in May 1966 The Beatles filmed a number of promo videos for "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" - their new single.
These promos would be for broadcast in America and Europe. All promos were filmed onto video tape.In the afternoon they taped
"Paperback Writer" and "Rain" in black and white for use on "Thank Your Lucky Stars" and "Ready Steady Go" in the UK.Firstly they
filmed four takes of "Paperback Writer".The first take was aired on "Thank Your Lucky Stars" (aka "Goodbye Lucky Stars").
The second and third takes were edited together for screening on "Ready Steady Go".
