Notes: The Beatles were filmed at Abbey Road while they recorded "Hey Jude". This footage was used in the documentary "Music!".
The special was shown in cinemas in England in October 1969 before the feature film "The Producers" (an all time fave of George`s)
and was then shown in America on television as part of NBC`s TV series "Experiment in Television".
Apple used some outtakes from the filming during "The Beatles Anthology" specials in 1995.
The Beatles segment from the US telecast (running just over 6 minutes) has been bootlegged since the early 1980`s but recently in 2016 a near pristine copy showed up on Youtube courtesy of
"Revolver TV" complete with their usual on-screen logo but interestingly it runs for 11:26 with the second half being made up of the outtake footage that cropped up throughout "The Beatles Anthology".
A lovely copy of the original broadcast was put out on DVD by TMOQ/HMC in 2017 as well as previously unseen outtakes (see next entry).
