Notes: This is the NTV special "The Beatles Recital From Nippon Budokan Tokyo" that featured footage from their arrival and their second Tokyo concert from earlier that same day.
There is also 15 minutes of footage from the concert`s Japanese opening acts.
This special begins in black and white with a look at the Beatles (empty) hotel rooms then it cuts to their arrival at Tokyo airport and car journey to the Hilton Hotel.
Then they show the interview done in their hotel room. This is followed by colour footage of the Japanese opening acts.
Then we get the entire Beatles concert (grey jackets).
Parts of this special (arrival and interview) were released on VHS and videodisc in 1993 along with additional footage
from their press conference followed by the complete dark suits concert (and minus the Japanese opening acts).
Please note that the original 1966 TV special only broadcast the grey suit concert.
