Notes: The American documentary makers - The Maysles Brothers, were given exclusive access to almost every minute of The Beatles first American visit.
From their arrival on this day at JFK Airport in New York to when they stepped off a plane back in London.
Some of this footage was used in two original TV documentaries.
The next day, John, Paul & Ringo (George was feeling ill so stayed in the hotel today and most of the next
day) along with a horde of press photographers and naturally the Maylses Brothers, went for a wander through Central Park and posed for numerous photographs.
One significant photo had them posing with The Dakota (Where John would later live) in the background.
Some of this film footage shot by The Maysles brothers ended up in the two 1964 documentaries and further outtakes in the DVD bonus feature "The Making of".
