Notes: Whilst in Manchester British Pathe filmed The Beatles in technicolour for a newsreel entitled "The Beatles Come To Town".
This lovely colour footage includes backstage footage, meeting the press, fans reactions and two songs from the concert - "She Loves You" & "Twist and Shout".
In 1965, "The Beatles Come To Town" performance footage was also used in the feature film "Pop Gear" (re-titled "Go Go Mania" in America).
This newsreel was also made available commercially from Pathe as a 8mm film sometime in early 1964 for home use.
