Notes: The Beatles made their debut on television today with two performances on Granada`s "People and Places" TV show. This was filmed in Manchester.
And they performed "Some Other Guy" and their new single "Love Me Do".
This program was broadcast live at 6:35pm but only in the north and north-west of England and the footage is unfortunately lost, presumed wiped.
Sadly there is no known audio recording but there are some photos taken by a fan off the TV screen of this, their first ever TV appearance.
