John and other cast members recited some of his poems while they "performed" both outdoors on Wimbledon Common and inside the BBC TV Studios in London.
The full episode (which was actually the pilot episode) still exists in the BBC archives unlike the majority
of their series and from it the opening outdoor poetry sketch with John was issued on the 2008 DVD "The Best of What`s Left of Not Only But Also".
