Notes: Due to a war and a refugee crisis, Ravi Shankar asked George Harrison if there was any way possible they could raise money to help these people.
George suggested a benefit concert and they soon put the wheels in motion.
"The Concert for Bangladesh" (actually two performances) was held at Madison Square Garden on August 1st.
Both concerts were filmed (as were rehearsals) and were turned into a feature length film that premiered in early 1972.
There was also a soundtrack album released as well. The film remastered and released on DVD. The bonus features on the DVD included a rehearsal of "If Not For You".
